Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.
So much of what goes on today can seem bewildering and inaccessible because it is dressed up in Orwellian Newspeak. Walter Egon's 'scribblings and oddments' are the antidote to this malaise. I am not a craftsman which is perhaps why I find a Substack dealing with sheer craft skill and the making of beautiful things such a relaxing delight.

"I think through writing" declares Vitaliy Katsenelson and I find that I love following the way that he does exactly that. If the name, The Intellectual Investor, sounds a little single-track and stodgy ... don't be fooled. Vitaliy covers a range of topics with thoughtful, well-turned prose. Highly recommended.
